Feature Sunday: 3 of the Best Beach Glass Businesses

Feature Sunday: 3 of the Best Beach Glass Businesses in the East #beachglass #beach #seaglass #blog

Hello everyone, Rachel Town here! Apologies for the lapse in time since my last post, as it has been a very productive and busy time of year! I'm going to kick off this post with a revamped style and pave the way for a completely new Feature Sunday, which will highlight one of these three categories on a weekly basis: beach glass businesses or fine artists or bloggers every week.

To begin this weekly tradition, I am featuring three of the best beach glass businesses that I have had the pleasure of crossing paths with.

If you would like to be featured on this blog and have a beach glass business, or you're a fine artist, or you are a blogger please reach out to me via email as I love collaborating with other creative entrepreneurs!

1.) Treasures By Nature

Who this sea glass business is and why did I choose them?
Feature Sunday: 3 of the Best Beach Glass Businesses This is a business that resides in Mattituck, NY along the shores of Long Island, NY. ---- Breakwater Beach is the name of the beach where sea glass hunters can find plenty of treasures! The photo to the right is one of their most unique finds that has been crafted into a beautiful necklace.

I chose them because after they reached out to me on Twitter in regards to a collaboration and upon learning more about their mission, I decided that this was a business that I wouldn't mind working with and promoting!

They do not have a physical store that you can walk into, however, the owner, Alex Constantine, states that they attend many festivals and events as a vendor and also on their official website signature merchandise and sea glass jewelry can be purchased. They have very reasonable prices and free shipping! Can't get much better than that! Their sea glass keychains are pretty awesome too!!

I've yet to meet this business in person, however, they are actually my influence to start-up another Feature day on this blog for others! Thank you!

2.) Tesori Dal Lago

Who this beach glass business is and why did I choose them?
Feature Sunday: 3 of the Best Beach Glass Businesses I met this vendor at the Ashtabula Harbor Beach Glass Festival that was in June 2018. "Treasures from the lake" is owned by Natalie Rich who is also an artist, who grew up along Lake Erie and resides in Cleveland, OH. ---- She creates beautiful beach glass jewelry and she is also a fine artist that I recommend taking a look further on her Etsy shop or her FB page to satisfy your curiosity! Her prices are very reasonable and she has a huge selection.

I chose this business to feature because the owner was especially down to earth and she is also a fellow fine artist. She combs some of the same beaches that I do on occasion and I really felt a connection upon meeting her that can only be explained by those rare treasures out there in the deep blue! I am also a huge fan of those that drill holes into their beach glass/sea glass to make jewelry because I cannot stand to do it myself! God bless your courage!

3.) Hones Harbor House
Feature Sunday: 3 of the Best Beach Glass Businesses

Lynn Hones is the proud owner of Hones Harbor House in Ashtabula, OH right at the top of the hill near the historic lift bridge. She creates beach glass jewelry and her gift shop has an amazing selection of not just jewelry but also beach gear, old-fashioned novelties, fresh lemonade, and even an old antique refrigerator that is not for sale but is really neat to check out. ---- In addition to all of this, she is also a wonderful author of novels usually involving ghosts or a mystery that can be found on her website.

Why did I choose this beach glass business?
I met Ms. Hones by venturing into her shop one lovely afternoon and introduced myself as a fellow beach glass enthusiast and local business. She was very pleased to meet myself and my son and during our second meeting, she contributed one of her finely crafted beach glass necklaces to my latest giveaway I currently have going on via my FB Page!

If you would like to view some of her inventory and happen to be in the area of Ashtabula, OH her physical store is at the top of the hill before you get to the well known local, "lift bridge" and she does attend the Beach Glass Festival in the harbor every year. More shows/festivals she appears as a vendor can be found out through emailing her directly via Lynnhones@gmail.com.

Beach Glass Vs Sea Glass

Who else is missing the beach this time of year?! Spring is officially here, and as the weather perks up I'm seeing more and more avid beach lovers along the shores setting their sights on those mysterious beauties known as beach glass amongst other treasures and of course Lake Erie finally thawing out! I was spoiled enough to venture out the last week as the schizo temperature in North Eastern Ohio had a vast incline to 55 degrees! In tribute to the waters.....being unfrozen...I felt that when I originally posted this infographic that I would eventually elaborate on it further when the time seemed right. This couldn't be a more perfect time as Spring is in the air and Easter is right around the corner! -This post contains affiliate links. Tips For Organizing Your Art Studio Before It Gets Out Of Control

Today is the day I decided to start organizing better! After reading a few amazing blog posts on an awesome Facebook group I joined, #Blogwithheart . I made one of the best decisions, to declutter my workspace and make room for new better ideas. Was art studio organization easy?! No, for me it was not as I will confess I'm a clutter-bug and always have the excuse that after I clean up my art studio then I have no idea where anything is. If I just have it laying around randomly, I usually remember where I placed it last. Well, this was just that....an excuse and not a very good one that makes any sense! It took me the majority of the morning and I'm still not done but I've made a huge dent! Why am I writing an entire post about this? -This post contains affiliate links. How to Find Beach Glass!

Have you ever went to the beach in hopes that you might find beach glass and left empty-handed? With the latest craze of beach glass finders combing the sands, you better get there early in the morning, especially on the weekends! As a third generation beach glass hunter, I walk to shores daily and want to share with you some tips on where exactly to look for these rare treasures! -This post contains affiliate links. When one of these links are clicked and a purchase is made. I may receive a small commission at no additional expense to you. Let's start... With a locational point of view. Once you get to the beach and reach the shoreline, you need to on the lookout for a few things. Which directions are the waves hitting the tide lines in the sand? Higher to lower or lower to higher? From a right slant or a left slant? This is going to determine which direction the most likely areas to find beach glass will soon appear or are already present. What time of day is
