Why You Need To Use Shopify When Selling Anything Online

Why You Need To Use Shopify When Selling Anything Online #shopify #shopifyapps #business

Shopify is a career-saving decision if you haven't yet I highly recommend that you seriously consider! Recently I've been moving my inventory over to Shopify from two different stores I was using before. I'm doing it piece by piece, therefore, its taking longer time than anticipated, however, I'm already seeing results. Why on Earth would I do this and why am I telling you about it?

Let me explain further...

I was using Etsy and VangoArt to sell my inventory of original paintings on canvas. I had customers, however, the issue remained of where there could have been many more. When an attempt on my end to further sales was not getting me further I knew I had to make a change.

For instance, there were potential customers who had put some of my artworks into their carts and there was nothing I could do about it to make sure that a sale happened. There were plenty of options that I knew how to implement and wanted to so badly make the right moves but this power was not even available and completely taken away by the hands of where I decided to hold my precious works of art. Both websites I was relying on do not allow you to view the contact information of the potential customer nor offered a real solution that made any sense or gave me any sort of power over my own products. I won't say exactly who the biggest offender was because I don't believe in throwing anyone under the bus however, I will say that very weak attempts were made on their behalf.

These weak attempts include sending out an email to that person who had an interest. This consumer may have set it into their cart and may have gotten side-tracked and had to close their browser and maybe not even check their inbox in the first place. When I researched further on what the length of time was before an email would be sent, I was flabbergasted to find out that they wait 72 hours!!!! No wonder they never came back to continue with their purchase! I had finally said enough was enough and have heard only wonderful comments regarding Shopify so I thought why not give it a whirl. I was only 1 day into the free 14-day trial when I pulled my credit card out and decided that this was the solution I've been looking for.

Now to answer the other question above, why am I telling you about this? Because if I was missing out on sales through then you most likely have been also. If you are already on Shopify or are contemplating about switching hosts or thinking about selling your products I want to share with you the power of apps that can and should be utilized inside of Shopify. I'm going to give you a rundown of the top 5 Shopify apps and what they do to further your business.

1.) PushOwl

Wow, what a dream come true! This 5 person start-up company completely blew my mind by offering something even more powerful for abandoned carts that don't involve an email list or FB messenger.

It's called push notifications!

These appear on visitor's mobile phone or right on their desktop. Rameez, who popped up on the website messenger when I was looking around on their website, was super helpful and went above and beyond answering my questions.

In addition to the abandoned cart feature, they also have automation for special events happening at your store such as any price drops, new additions, discounts, etc. For $19/month their business plan gives you exactly the optimization that your business needs!

2.) Snapppt

Ever wonder where those little dots on Instagram photos that link to someone's website come from?

This is your answer!

Snapppt allows you to practically sell everything within an Instagram post if you wanted to. In order to specifically sell on Instagram, they have created a way for you to manage and delegate your sales with an Instagram shop of your own integrated right with your Shopify inventory.

3.) Plug-In SEO

Are you having issues ranking on Google search? This app will be your best friend in helping you reach the first page of search results and if you don't know why an error keeps appearing when you run a test drive, one of their team members will piece together an answer for you and show you what to do! Their free package gives you much of what you need, however, if you want to make sure your keywords are up to par then they offer a Plus plan for $20/month.

4.) Free Persistent Cart App

People are doing a million things at once usually when they start to look through your online store they may add items that they want right then and there at the moment. Once they switch mindsets throughout the day they may want to actually purchase those items but now their phone is on the charger in the other room and they are on their desktop computer finishing up some details for the day and perhaps playing a few rounds of solitaire. They have their method of payment already in their hand as they pull up your sales website and.....their cart is empty :(

Don't let this scenario happen! That's why you need to get this app!

ConvertKit

5.) Sixads - Free Ads and Free Traffic for Webstores

Gain traffic to your store that matters with targeting different categories that appear in their store as partner products. This is a free app that works by also advertising the categories that you choose in your own store as well.

I view it as a total win-win! You can exclude any of the areas that would not benefit you and there are options available to request to be featured and also boost your ads for $10.99/3000 impressions. If you have a large inventory though you won't need to boost any of your ads because their business model works so well.

When you leave a review after trying this app out it creates a backlink which heightens your SEO even further!
