Does life ever bore you? Do you ever get complaints that others are bored on a normal day to day basis?
I completely understand!
Instead of wondering what to do when you're bored, I'm pressing the brake pedal and laying out a nice list for anyone that also has this issue! As I wasn't sure what this word, "bored" actually meant I thought I'd start off with this exact dilemma as the first thing to do!
1.) Research the actual word, "bored". Go ahead type it right into Google and have a look!
See there I did it for you....which probably still makes this post even more boring and now I'm even further behind on stuff that I need to be doing....which is not boring....hmm think about that one....wait for no nevermind that might actually bore you more....Maybe, this is perhaps why people are texting me that they are bored. Or I'm taking it the wrong way, since I'm completely introverted and have a mental list of things to do when I'm not working that I never hit the bottom of I just assume that everyone else does too, or I've been emitting positive energy into the universe that I read about in the novel The Secret and while someone is being bored they feel a positive energy gravitating toward them from a coordinate on the atlas of life that has yet to be determined but they just cannot help themselves from reaching out to half of their contacts in their phone updating the local clan of their boredom.
2.) This post contains affiliate links. If you have no idea what those are and how these work, please jump over to my disclaimer page. This will keep you from being bored as it will give you something to read and things to click on throughout this page! If you see an image that appears as if its a stock photo on any of my posts its usually an affiliate link, I sparingly use stock pics, and you should click on it anyways just to find out. In fact, I will give bonus nonboredom tips to those individuals that find the photos of mine that appear as if they might be a stock photo or affiliate link but they are not. In other words, (Where's Waldo?) find the photos in my posts that I took myself but I've made them appear otherwise. Post your findings in the comment section!
4.) Book a weekend getaway using what is coined as last-minute airfare and hotel accommodations for any of the following areas which are usually dirt cheap a week and a half to two weeks before "taking off", when booking during off-seasons, and not around any holiday: Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale (off season), San Francisco, or Chicago. Airplane scardy cats, I have a list of good reads for ya that will totally unbore you so don't hesitate to click on the following links....Curing Flight Anxiety, Confession: I'm Terrified Of Flying, How I've Overcome My Fear Of Flying, Fear of flying – My 10 tips to manage anxiety in the air, Overcoming Fear of Flying – Part 1.
"Last Minute" does not actually mean a few hours prior to this market it means a few weeks ahead maybe a week and a half ahead. I know my "last minute" is also worlds apart from the market of booking a last minute trip keywords. Recommendations destination-wise would be Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas, not only because I used to live there, but they have some of the most awesome slot machines that you actually have a chance at winning something at! Make sure to hit up Jackpot Party after you sign up for their rewards card. The rewards are not what they used to be anywhere along The Strip unless you stay at one of the Caesars Ent. owned hotels as your statistics of winning at the slots and at the tables increase at certain times of the day mainly at noon and midnight. When your winnings are higher, of course, you will have higher points on your rewards card but the rewards are usually not something someone from out of town could possibly utilize unless they were over their fear of flying and over their fear of last-minute trips and not being bored anymore because they were now on a mission!
5.) Start binge-watching a TV series on Netflix or Hulu or YouTube or Amazon Video or Join SHOWTIME Free Trial. Recommendations include The Walking Dead, Lucifer, The Tick, The Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones, Orange Is The New Black, 13 Reasons Why, or A Series Of Unfortunate Events. Personally, I've only been a fan of 4 of those that I just listed. Perhaps, you could fill me in on the most recent episode of, The Tick! I have yet to view any of the current episodes and would love to know if it's still as hilarious as the others. Ok, now that I've revealed my sense of humor I hope that you've forgotten what the word bored meant from that Google search!
6.) Read the book(s) or comic books for a movie or show then watch said show or movie. The Shining by Stephen King was an excellent novel and so was the movie with Jack Nicholson however, the novel and movie are worlds apart. I will admit when I first saw the movie I never understood how it received such a title for all I recall is "All fun and no play makes Jack dying boy". Hollywood is known for an enriched and theatrical appearance where a novel always portrays the real meaning with a voice to each character that makes sense to each reader as they are reading. TWD comics are another saga literally worlds ahead of the show, I mean they are so far behind on the TV show compared to where the comics are that I simply had to just stop viewing it on TV because I can't bear to have Hollywood mess up the epic future that the writers already laid out. Not to mention some characters missing, others added, different ones dying at different spots within the timeline and some not dying at all. These minor details make a completely different story just like The Butterfly Effect movie how the main character would go through the same situations over and over with minor changes that made huge differences.
